The New Standard in Environmental Design...
Fibertech™ technology (PATENT PENDING) takes the natural plant fiber waste left over from processing rice, wheat, bamboo, and sugar cane and transforms them into a biodegradable, fire-retardant, flame proof, and insulating (doesn’t conduct electricity) ironing board top able to withstand temperatures from -40ºF to 356ºF. The standard Iron only reaches 204ºF.
Because the Fibertech® board is made from natural plant fibers, it breaks down quickly—between 120 and 180 days in a landfill; 2-3 years in a field environment . Fibertech® has passed many degradation and safety tests certifying its environmental and consumer friendliness, e.g., GB18006.1-999, GB19305-2003, ASTM-F963-2008, and FDA. Final product has passed CTL testing for Ironing Boards. Biodegradability claims verified by Microbe Inotech Laboratories, Inc. U.S. Patent applications have been filed on the product and the process.
